West Sumatra : Geological Field Trip
I had last minute approval from my boss to join so called Central Sumatera Basin-Geological Field trip to Bukittinggi-Sawahlunto-Solok, West Sumatera. It was pure jackpot since I didn't expect this coming. Plus, I have these and thats to do with extreme due dates. Bless my Boss, I was having such a blast week field tripping.
What did I see?
Outcrops!

What was fun?
Everything except went off the bus and felt the heat :D
The city was quite great.
Where did I stay?
First two nights :The Hills Hotel
It's an Ok Hotel. The exterior is quite charming but the toilet is definitely a no.
Next day :
Echo Homestay
Interesting cottage with magnificent view of the Harau valley. Love the place, love the food, love the air. Very refreshing!
What did I eat?
Nasi Padang all the way! I've tasted Rendang kambiang, Sate Padang, Kambiang Guliang and the winner is.. Dendeng Batokok :D
What did I capture?
It was a happy moment when I got a chance to see what I see. I definetely heart West Sumatera. Singkarak Lake was inevitably gorgeous. I'll come back..
