Thoughts: Lucky Girls

Such a huge year 2010 is for five of my girlfriends as they are going to get married early this year.
For me, well.. for sure it's going to be a year full of wedding tour from one party to the other.

And speaking of which, I had alot of When will you get married questions lately.
From the fact that I've been in relationship with my boyfriend for almost a decade now and from the awfull thruth that I'm 26 (which is old??), I do think that people find it appropriate to shoot me with such a question.
Well, I don't hate that question since I've prepared myself with a zip-it answer like "Soon!" and a smile. But still..

Anyways, couple days ago, a nurse in Medical Center (I had hearing test appointment as part of annual occupational GME -general medical examination that is- ) brought up the same 'intriguing' subject.
She began by asking me questions like my badge number, which team do I work with, then she asked me ( very carefully) how old I was and explained that the data needed to filled up some forms. So I just said my age out loud. Then she extended her 'medical-related' question with:
"Maaaariiiieed?", with such a compromising smile. I answered instantly, "Siiingle..".

Suddenly from then on to 25 minutes later, I underwent -utterly- a hearing test.
She began by saying that 26 was not that old, but she said it's a critical age where you really have to choose between two things: planning to complete your life; by getting married, having Childs, retirement plan (and finding potential future graveyard location perhaps), OR enjoying your "now" ; being single, independent, rich(?) and alone(?), she explained enthusiastically which I found it hilarious but I thought maybe she got a point or two to take away, so I decided to continue listening.
She said that she was that close to actually living her life in an incorrect way; got carried away and enjoying her "now" a little too much, and that getting married wasn't really in her top 'to do' list back then.
Luckily she said, she found love of her life and got married right away at the age of 31 AND instantly got pregnant ANDD decided to have another baby a year after giving birth to the first child ANDDDD third baby's coming ride up another year after.
The rest of her story was err.. too long but her point was that she's now a happy wife and mother (and live happily ever after).

I have to admit that I did take away a good point from her, that finding love of your life is essential (ha!).
I’ve found mine, so I guess I’m in the right path.
And for those 5 lucky girls who also have found love of their life, congratulations!
